CAD Workstations

Our northeast Ohio location has multiple CAD workstations equipped with SolidWorks with LogoPress, Draftsite and Ansys SpaceClaim software. These workstations are high-performance computers optimized to handle 3D and 2D modeling.

Solidworks with Logopress is an immensely powerful die design software package and is considered one of the best software solutions for the design of all types of dies including progressive dies and transfer dies. Logopress is completely integrated within Solidworks and is able to utilize all the power that Solidworks offers.

For data transfers, we support IGES, STEP, and DXF formats. These formats are commonly used in the CAD industry for exchanging 3D models and designs between different software applications. By supporting these formats, we ensure compatibility with other software systems.

Additionally, we offer digitizing services that allow us to convert physical objects into digital designs. IGES (Initial Graphics Exchange Specification) is a neutral file format that allows for the transfer of 2D and 3D geometry data between different CAD systems. STEP (Standard for the Exchange of Product Data) is an ISO standard that exchanges product data across CAD systems. It supports the secure transfer of 3D models, assembly structures, and product metadata. DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) is a file format developed to exchange 2D and 3D CAD data.

All designs created in-house are permanently stored, guaranteeing fast and easy retrieval. This allows for efficient management and access to previous designs— simplifying the making of any modifications made down the line.

CAM Programming

Our CAD capabilities extend to CAM programming, enabling us to generate toolpaths and instructions for computer-controlled manufacturing processes. This integration between CAD and CAM streamlines the production process, creating accurate and efficient manufacturing. With CAD programming, our operators can select machining parameters and generate tool paths optimized for manufacturing processes, eliminating the need for manual programming.
